The Beginning
Some people discover marketing in a classroom, breathing in stale air because they decided it was the least evil of the Business Administration concentrations. Rita Yeh discovered it naturally, through the lens of a camera. During her undergraduate years, she launched her own YouTube vlogging channel, producing and managing everything herself. What started as a creative outlet quickly became a lesson in audience-building, storytelling, and the mechanics of digital platforms.
From there, one thing led to another. Rita began exploring more of the digital marketing landscape, such as SEO, paid advertising, and social media strategy, and eventually landed her first professional role as a brand marketer. There, she contributed to rebranding efforts, managed social channels, and helped shape content strategy. Each step deepened her conviction that digital marketing was exactly where she was meant to be.
“The mentor lab and online certification course really help me learn the skills that I wouldn’t touch by myself.”
— Rita Yeh, on her CDL experience
The CDL Chapter
Rita joined Clear Digital Labs recently as an Assistant and Coordinator, and she describes the experience so far as enriching. Before CDL, she was uncertain where to begin, but the program offered a clear path forward with structured learning, valuable resources, and real projects where her new skills could take root.
One of her standout contributions has been working on CDL’s YouTube SEO project, where she studied how keyword optimization shapes web traffic and platform performance. She has also completed Coursera’s Digital Marketing Certification and is currently producing content for Xiaohongshu as part of her internship. The work bridges concept and execution—exactly the combination of strategy and hands-on creation she had been looking for.
When she reflects on what CDL has meant to her, Rita frames it as a turning point: the moment she finally had the tools, the exposure, and the confidence to start working on something she’d been sitting with for a long time.

Dream Role & Future Vision

Ask Rita about her ideal workday and she paints a picture of mornings spent outside the office for inspiration, and afternoons back at a desk, collaborating with teammates and creating content in a dynamic environment. Her dream role is to work as a digital content creator and strategist, blending performance-driven thinking with genuine creative energy.
Her key strength, she says, is approaching video content strategically to produce work that both looks compelling and drives measurable results. In future roles, she’s also excited to take on projects involving data analysis, to use insights to guide marketing operations and inform content revisions firsthand.
Rita is most drawn to the travel and language learning industries. As a language learner herself, Rita understands how much environment shapes motivation, and she wants to use her marketing skills to build something meaningful in that space. In five years, she hopes to have created her own platform connecting language learners and travel lovers around the world.
“Never be afraid to ask professionals for advice and feedback, because people are often happy to help passionate learners.”

On Staying Grounded
When it comes to staying motivated, Rita keeps things straightforward. She tends to scroll through social media, draw inspiration from what other creatives are putting out there, and reach out to friends for honest feedback, giving herself the time and space to reset before pushing forward.
Her career mantra? “Fake it till you make it.” Paired with her track record of diving into new platforms, tools, and projects, the philosophy makes sense: lead with confidence, then build the expertise to match.
